September 2, 1937 FOOTBALL PRACTICE IS STARTED AT L. H. S. Thirty-four fleety and husky Lincolnton boys answered the initial roll-call for football practice this week, according to Coach Jones. Most of the team will be composed of first-year men and Coach Jones says the new boys are going to make it interesting for the old members in securing regular berths in the line-up. The schedule arranged for the season follows: Sept. 17-------------Open. Sept. 24-------------Warrenton, there. Oct. 1----------------Open. Oct. 8----------------Open. Oct. 15---------------Lavonia, there. Oct. 22---------------Tennille, here. Oct. 29---------------Hartwell, there. Nov. 5----------------Madison, here. Nov. 12---------------Wrens, here. Nov. 19---------------Thomson, there. Open dates will be filled with games to be played in Lincolnton.
