In the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Pre-Season Rankings being released tomorrow (August 28), Lincoln County is ranked #1 in Class A. This is the 6th time that our Devils have started a season top-ranked in the AJC rankings.
In Class A, Johnson County's Trojans, semi-final losers to our Devils last year, begin 2006 in the second spot. Red Devils from Hawkinsville and Bowdon are third and fourth respectively. Clinch County is fifth followed by Savannah Country Day, Seminole County, Bremen, and Turner County. Lincoln's Region 7-A foe Twiggs County rounds out the Top 10 in tenth.
For other teams of local interest, Greene County is third in AA with Jefferson County seventh and Laney eighth. Thomson is ninth in Class AAA, with Washington County sixth.
