If the ease of the Devils' win over AA was surprising, it was not near as surprising as some other scores Friday night. Morgan County shocked Commerce 35-7. The Tigers QB Josh Haynes left the game with a possible broken collarbone, according to www.CommerceTigers.com. That means those Tigers are going to be in an awfully foul mood when they come prowling in Lincolnton next Friday.
Clinch County and Worth County tied 6-6, and Swainsboro upended Washington County 21-15 in the House of Pain in Sandersville.
