Week 2 Recap: Thomson beats Tigers

In other games of interest, Thomson recovered from their season-opening loss to Hart County to beat Washington-Wilkes 30-15 in the Brickyard.

Around Class A, Clinch County rolled over Johnson County 56-6, with the clock running much of the second half. That means the Trojans two
opponents have outscored them 129-6. Miller County lost to Early County 26-0 to go 0-2 in 2003, and Dooly County lost to Crisp County.  Landmark Christian, with their much-heralded QB Alex Mortensen, lost to Decatur 28-3.

Twiggs whipped Schley County 52-0 to go 2-0 on the young season. Metter defeated Warren County 22-6 in those teams' season opener, Commerce edged Franklin County 16-7, and Athens Academy beat Dawson County 16-0. Hawkinsville rolled over Bleckley County 35-0; Bleckley is coached by last year's W-W coach Ross New.
