Junior Varsity falls to Thomson

September 21, 2002

The Devil JV jumped out to a 6-0 lead on a 60-yard toss sweep in the second quarter. The Bullpuppies ran back the ensuing kickoff and went for two to lead 8-6 at the half. With several players held out of the second half to be eligible for the varsity game, the Devils struggled with Thomson scoring twice in the fourth to win 30-6. The Devils thought they had another TD early in the game but Troy Whimbush was called out of the endzone after catching a pass from Cordarryl Coppin.

This Thursday (9/26), the Devil JV travels to Harlem to take on the Harlem Bullpuppies at 5pm. Future games include October 3 at Greenbrier, October 10 hosting Elbert County, and October 17 in Washington for a rematch. Go to the games and support tomorrow's varsity players!!
