Lincoln County's request to move from Region 7-A to Region 8-A for the next two years was tentatively approved by the GHSA Reclassification Committee Monday.
The appeals by our Devils and by First Presbyterian Day were tentatively approved. According to an article in the Macon newspaper (linked below), that means the moves are approved if no or a few Class A teams leave the GHSA. If many teams leave the GHSA, it is likely the reclassification effort will have to be restarted. First Presbyterian will move to Region 4-A, and Lincoln County will move to the Athens area region.
