Lincolnton High ran roughshod over Thomson here last Friday and defeated their Tenth district rivals 51 to 6.

Paced by the fleet Neal Wansley, who made three spectacular runs for as many touchdowns, the Lincolnton gridders piled up eight tallies and converted three extra points.

Scoring for the locals were Moss, who caught a pass, Hayes Wansley and Smalley, each of whom tallied once, Carl Ivey, two touchdowns, and Neal Wansley’s three point-makers.

The game was the final Tenth district contest for Lincolnton and left them having won six out of their 8 games. They wind up the season this Wednesday night at Augusta where they meet Coach George Ewing’s Richmond B-varsity.
